Today I was participating in a outstanding event called Rhythm Interactive. I was near the hall and I could hear a terrific sound. I found out that it was the LT2 children playing. I thought WOW! This is going to be great. So we started off easy, then harder and harder, and everyone was excellent. It was a beautiful sound to my ears. There was clapping, banging, and really good beats.
Canterbury Earthquake 7.1
The Repertory Theatre is well known in Christchuch. It's first production was on 15 November 1928 at the Radiant Hall (now The Repertory Theatre). I wonder if this historic building can be saved?

Canterbury Earthquake 7.1
I hope everyone ducked for cover and had their survival kits ready.
My son sneaked into my bed in the middle of the night. When the quake started it was a quick grab for him and I literally threw him under my bed. Thanks to my cat who had done something under there - I quickly flicked that away!
My brother, wife and their daughter drove to my house shortly after 5 am. We drove back this afternoon. The chimney pot had toppled and has moved away from the house. Inside is worse, there are cracks everywhere. I don't think it's safe to live in.

Dahllia Ashleigh Rochelle Katelyns stereotype groups =)
On Thursday the 2nd September 2010 we had our learning celebration. Rochelle, Ashleigh, Katelyn and I were doing stereotypes. Rochelle and I went to Room 16 and did a survey on them. We found out that boys and girls like different things! We asked six questions to the children and then we graphed our results. We stuck it on our display boards. After that both groups made a non stereotypical toy. By Dahllia
Our learning celebration was from 3.15 to 4.30 pm. Katelyn and I went and surveyed children from Room 13 and 14. We asked 12 children. To make it fair we pulled their names out of a bag. Katelyn and I had made up 11 questions for them to answer. Most of the boys said that pink is a girls colour. The girls said that blue and green are boys colours! After we finished Katelyn and I went and started our graphs. By Ashleigh

Palm oil
For our inquiry we looked at the impact of palm oil on the environment. We did a lot of research and a made a poster. This has lots of facts about how many Sumatran tigers and how many orangutans there are. We wanted to find out if we can make the government list palm oil on the food labels. For our display we put the computer up which showed the different names are palm oil.

| Check out my awesome display! |
For my inquiry, my question was: How do toys encourage stereotypes? I went and surveyed Room 6 and I found out that basically all boys toys have explosions on them and they are usually red! I was very surprised that Room 6 voted Barbie, the least popular girls toy! To sum it all up, I really enjoyed doing my inquiry, even if my buddy was sick for most of it.
