Children completing a quick 10-15 minute painting from the still life compostition they've selected. They're using A2 paper and large brushes. First they explored mixing paint.
Still Life workshop
Today we have been doing the Still Life with a Difference workshop. I've learnt that sometimes you have to put a lot of details into pictures to make them look good. Shading and tone is very important. Below I'm painting a still life of a toy sitting in oranges, I had to look at the picture quite a lot to get it right. I was looking for the right shade and where to put things.

Still Life with a Difference
In the boot of the Mazda I place a variety of objects that the children then photographed. They then selected a few of these photos to use for their still life paintings.

My netball team finals
My netball team played in the finals for the Under 11's Division one. We have not lost a game for two years.
We were playing on court 3. The game went on for a hour and a half. I was playing Goal Shoot. When the game was finished our coach told us that we won the finals. After that we went down to the courts for prize giving. My team and I got a badge and a big trophy that I'm holding in the photo. We all got a mini trophy with our names on it too.

My trophy for Rugby
I got this trophy for being the most consistent player in my rugby team. I was pretty much the only forward that scored a back style try. I tapped the ball from a penalty and ran down the side where they put all of their forwards. I got a try!
My trophy for Marching
I won this trophy for marcher of the day. It was Vagas day that means that we can wear fancy things, like make-up, fancy hairdos and things like that. It was my first march ever.
