Our finished advert...

Mrs Bubble's Truffles

In class we are making and selling truffles for LR 3's Market Day. We have been learning how to  make a logo for our product above is what we have at the moment.  Do you like the opacity of the text, lighter or darker?  It will be up to you. We have also learnt about copyrights, so say McDonalds we cant have McTruffles and use yellow and red.  We really like our logo so far and we hope you do too.

Fuppets Movie Making

Slushy and Dream are our fuppets names. Dream is the creamy blue fuppet with the yellow sun set eyes and the long brown hair. Now I guess you know who Slushy is? She is the one with Jet Black eyes and the sheep wool hair and you cant forget her fluffy purple nose. The thing we loved about our fuppets and movie making is we could bring our creative mind to use. Now lets talk about movie making. Movie making is not as easy as you may think. It's a long process and lots of work to get to a finished movie.

Fuppet: Slushy Sunshine

Slushy's eyes glow when she is happy.  Her hair is as fluffy as sheep's wool.  Slushy is as fluffy as a night blanket.  Her mouth is as purple as grapes or a vine.  Slushy's tongue is as blue as a sky setting.  Her skin is all shades of purple and pink.

Slushy loves dancing and she does hip hop and tap.  She is moody as a bull.  When she sees red she is very cheeky, like a monkey.  Slushy is very brave and posh.  She has two sisters: Grape and Neptune.  She also has a brother Sky Monkey.  Slushy loves makeup and wears it everyday and a lot for parties.

Hunting around the school...

Today we hunted around the school to look at some poems written by children at the Young Writer's Workshop.  There were all sorts of poems.  I liked the poem called 'Sunday Roast,' by Alex.  It had a very good similes in there.   There was one about a Tsunami, it was really good.  The whole class enjoyed reading the poems.  We loved the great similes!

Food Web Tangle!

This is the food web we had to make.
On Friday we had to make a food web.  We put sticky tape on some kids foreheads. Then we used string to tie together our wrists. Then we had to pull a string if we ate someone, so they would have to pull there string.  I liked this lesson a lot and we hope we do it again sometime.

A Visit to the Groynes...

One activity was catching bugs with a sieve that live in the river.  We put some in trays with water and scooped them with a spoon.  We had to work out what bugs or insects they were.

We learnt that ducks are meant to eat bugs that live in water, so they get nutrients.  We played a game called Ducks and Waterboats.  We had three ducks: Brook, Taylah and Neco.  The rest of us were Water boatmen.  We had to run round and not get tagged by ducks or we would lose one of our lives.

We learnt that we should watch the steps we take, like don't litter because it can effect the water life.

Kimiya's Holiday...

In the Holidays I didn’t go anywhere, but I still had a good time!  We had barbeque's and party's.  We had great holidays.  On Christmas Day I got a bike and a video player.  I had the best day!  We had a nice lunch and breakfast.  My dog opened his own present, it was so cute!  His name is Buddy and he is about 7 years old.  He is a sausage dog he is chubby.  He has brown eyes and I love buddy.  I had a good holiday.

Transform!

There were many giggles in the classroom this afternoon.  Our theme for 2012 is 'Transform.'  What a great way to start by taking this funny photos.  Who can you see?

Music Video: Train Station

I helped to make the backdrops for the movie, it was fun.  I did this with Courtney and Jemma.  It was hard and we used lots and lots of pencils, and crayons.  I also did the flower path.

Strike

Today we went to STRIKE and we watched them make music with fire.  It was fun.  We heard them sing, well not sing....scream.  We heard them play lots of different drums.  They were funny and we loved it so much.  It was so loud!

Before STRIKE played music with fire they were sitting down at a table with cans.  They made different beats with the cans.  When STRIKE were making beats with the cans, one of the cans opened!

Strike

We liked the Tongan drums and the rain storm song.  We liked how they screamed!  It was so fantastic. They all wore the same t-shirts, it was so cool.  We loved the show, the boys were funny.  Thanks STRIKE!

Passing Wind Show

Linsey Pollak came to our school and gave us a lesson about how to make music with tubes, electric instruments. Best of all we saw Mr Curly, the hose. He showed us awesome music. One was called the didgeridoo. We saw all his panpipes and the finger piano. The chaosmatic was cool. The name of the show was ‘Passing Wind.

Footbag with Phil

Yesterday we got an lesson from Phil.  He gave us a lesson on how to do tricks with the Footbag.  One of the tricks as the toe kick.  Where you do a karate kick, the Footbag flies in the air and you catch it.  The  second trick was called the knee bump.  First you put your knee up and then you where throw the ball up and hit it with your knee.
