Tui's Garden - Behind the Scenes

We made honeybees for the movie because it was a movie about honeybees.

It took a long time to make the movie.  

The honeybees look like they are flying because they are on string and someone is holding them with their hands.  They have a lot of stripes and they have wings.

We all made the fence, the puppets and all the clothes.  Summer designed most of the puppets and their clothes.  

We made some flowers.  All of the Year 3 children worked together to make Tui's Garden.  The Year 4's were working on Honeybee News and the How Bizarre while we made our movie.  

We all worked very hard on the movie.  Our favourite parts were puppeteering the little honeybees and drawing the backdrops.

Honeybee Garden...

Room 6 planted flowers for the bee garden because we love honey bees. This is why we planted a bee garden.  

Honeybees are in danger so plant for bees!

Room 6 loves honey, so please help the honeybees.  Plant flowers that honeybees like.  Honeybees like lavender, camellia's and lemon trees.

We planted lavender, sage, oregano, cat mint, sunflowers, cosmos and seeds for bees.  We watered the gar dent, that's why it grows.  Room 6 love Honeybees!  From Summer and Lily.

Nicholas: 'I like the High Peak honey.'  Lily: 'The Manuka honey is yummy!'

Summer: 'The Manuka honey is really healthy.'  Maliyah: 'My favorite type of honey is Beech Forest honey, it tastes delicious!'  Leyam: 'I like the comb honey because it is sweet!'

Nathan: 'My favorite was the natural comb honey because it was sugary.'  

Chloe & Charlotte: 'I didn't like the honey because it was too strong and minty.'

Bumble Bee Up Close!

On Monday Chloe found a  bumble bee.  Look at its eyes!  They are very big. What caller is the bumble bee?  The bumble bee was 2 cm long.

My cool holiday...

In the holiday my brothers and I went to Lala's house. I saw my cousin Grace and she is kind, and funny.  She has a crazy brother called Kai. I stayed for a sleepover.  Grace and I had so mach fun. 

In the holiday my family and I went to Hamner Springs with some of our friends.  Asher and I went on the rocks and sat on them.  We went in hot pools and cold pools.  We had so mach fun at Hamner Springs because we played all day.

In the holiday I went to the beach. My brothers and I made a sand village.  We found a sea worm. It was gross! We made a mud puddle.

In the holiday I went to Ashley Gorge camp and some friends came too.  We went to the river.  I picked up a gross stick.  I like going to camp. Benjamin came too. I found some cool rooks. There was a big wind and it ripped all of our tents except the little one. We went home in the morning.
