Fuppet: Raspberry

Raspberry has not started school yet. She is only 3 years of age. She has lovely dark brown beautiful eyes. Raspberry has skin as soft as silk. She has creamy soft and glossy hair. She has a big red shiny nose.

Raspberry looks very strong because she eats lots of fruit and vegetables and goes to the gym. Raspberry is very caring and friendly and she tells her mummy every thing and socialises with all her friends.

Raspberry is always cheerful and happy and when it snows she loves to play in the cold soft snow. Raspberry loves to play in the clam shell sandpit back at home and when I go to school she sleeps all day long. My Fuppet loves to watch movies and eat popcorn. Raspberries hobbies are watching Peppa Pig and Mr Bean on you tube with her mum And feeding the pigs on the farm.

Venetian Masks: Kaitlin

When I was making my mask I was working with Amber-Rose. We put moulding clay on our mask and then we started to paint with metallic paints. My mask was red and green and my friend Amber-Rose's was gold and purple. Then we put on Resene paint for dry brushing. Next we put on our edging and some beads. It was fun putting on texture for hot glue gun, for the lumpy bits. We Put on the vanish and let it dry.

The NED Show...

On Wednesday we went to the NED Show and learnt  all about yoyos and caring for each other.  The 'N'  stands for Never give up.  The 'E' stands for Encourage others.  The 'D' stands for Do your best.

Do you wear your cycle helmet correctly?

On Friday eleven children bought their bike helmets to school.  We wanted to know how many children put their helmets on the right way. They had to sit on a chair and put on their helmets, and stand up and fold their arms.  It was sort of like a test and they all failed.  All the children didn't put their helmets on correctly.

We even found a broken helmet and some children had helmets too small for them.

Elizabeth showed us how to put on a helmet correctly.

Can you see what's wrong?
What has changed?

Our QR Treasure Hunt...

On the first day of school we went on a treasure hunt for QR codes.  Miss K hid QR codes around the school.  We all went hunting for the QR codes.  It was hard doing a QR Treasure hunt!  At home I found a QR code on a cooking book and it was for a healthy food web site.  By Kaitlin

There were questions for each QR code and we had to answer them.  There were some in the playground,  stuck on classrooms.  It was quite fun hunting for the codes.  For Home Learning we have to make our own QR codes and bring them to school.  I am going to make a code for a lego site.  By Jackson

Transform!

There were many giggles in the classroom this afternoon.  Our theme for 2012 is 'Transform.'  What a great way to start by taking this funny photos.  Who can you see?
