Fuppet Movie...

We made fuppets to replace us in our movie, The Fuppets - Return of the Nits.  It was hard when we were filming because we all had to be quite.

Before we started to film we made the back drops and some other children and I made back drops for NNF News (Nit News Feed), and I helped with the outside of the school.

When we started to film we had to get some back drops up on the wall and that was hard too.  When I got filmed with my puppet I had to get into a funny position and my arms got sore.  I am really pleased with my puppeteering.

Fuppet: Karter Maria Simpson

Karter is five years old and she has purple hair, as soft as cat fur.  She has a yellow tongue and a red nose.  She has a pink bracket.  Karter is friendly, cheerful and loving.  Karter likes to go for walks, racing and going to the park.  She has two friends and one enemy called Lisa.  Her two friends are fuppet Blueberry and Buddy.  Karter's face is shaped like an oval the texture of my fuppet is as hard as a rock.  The nose is hard too. My fuppet treats her friends like a human.  Karter likes going to school and likes to play in the cold soft snow.

Venetian Mask: Brook

I like that the pink is nice and bright. The most funniest thing about mask making is when we put the paint on and when we put the star dust on. The technique that I did was dry brushing. You shouldn't put too much paint on the brush. Next time I will do different things, like paint different colours. I think my mask is awesome!

The NED Show...

On Wednesday we went to the NED Show and learnt  all about yoyos and caring for each other.  The 'N'  stands for Never give up.  The 'E' stands for Encourage others.  The 'D' stands for Do your best.

Racing!

On Sunday 20th May I had go-kart racing. I had to wake up at 5:50am to get ready, but my Dad didn't wake up and Tyler went back to bed. Then Dad woke up and went to have a shower, so we all got ready. We had to leave at 7.00 am to get to the go-kart track. When we get there we needed to get the karts ready. We had to unpack the karts and get the tools out. After awhile we started to practice by warming our go-karts up and driving around the track. After the practise we start to do time trials. We need to drive as fast as we can go. For my time trail my go-kart kept on slowing down because it was bursting for fuel.

Then it was the Enduro and we had to do as many laps as we could in 25 minutes. I got fuel on my overalls.

Playing with Data!

Today we learnt about data. We noticed that there were more girls that were right handed, with brown eyes.  We had to keep on changing the data around because we wanted to see what was different about it.  We had to cut the data squares out and then we had to put them in order. We walked around to look at each others data.

Looking at our data squares...

Data stacked in piles, is this easy to read?
Data sorted on eye colour...
Multivariate data...sorted on eye colour, girl/boy, left handed/right handed.

Rosa's Birthday Party...

On Saturday at 2 pm I went to Rosa's birthday party.  There were only three or four girls wearing dresses.  I was the first person there.  I got Rosa Littlest Petshop baking mixtures and glitter.

We got a decorated cupcake.  The flavour was chocolate with pink icing.  Some of the party food was: cheerios, chips and chocolate.  When we were there we made kites and we used glitter, twisters, paint and glitter glue.

We got our face painted by one of the Mum's.  Everyone at the party got strings.  When my Mum picked me up she was surprised when she saw my face.  Then we went to our neighbours place and she was suprised too!

On Friday we went to the Groynes. We went in the school vans.  We had to catch bugs in the river and then we had to bring them to our group.  We caught the creatures with a spoon and had to identify what we found.

We played a duck game and river crossing game.  We were the ducks and so was Neco. We had to chase other kids that were water boat men and we had to try and tag them so we could get one of their lives. We all learnt about our environment, like the water boatman.

Fun at Timaru!

In the holidays I went to Timaru to stay for two nights. When we got there I saw a little playground.  We drove a little more and my brother and I saw a bouncy pillow.

When we got to Top Ten in Timaru we set up the tents.  My Mum and I blew up the air beds with a pump. I went on the bouncy pillow, it was so bouncy.  I made two new friends at the camping ground and we played together.  Tyler and I didn't ask to watch TV.

We went to the Timaru Carnival.  I went on a chair-o-plane, Octopus ride, the bumper boats, bumper cars and played games.   On the bumper boats we crashed into each other to get each other wet.  When I hopped out I was so wet! On the octopus my brother said 'tell them to stop it.'  My Mum said, 'No enjoy the ride!'  After the ride Tyler wanted to go on the octopus again.  We then went home.

Transform!

There were many giggles in the classroom this afternoon.  Our theme for 2012 is 'Transform.'  What a great way to start by taking this funny photos.  Who can you see?
