My cat Blinkey

This is my pet Blinkey.  She is 8 years old and she is pure white.  She is called Blinkey because when she was little Blinkey wouldn't stop blinking.  At night she would come into my, room jump on my bed, and push me into the wall.  My best pet story is when she is inside and there is a bird outside, Blinkey can see it and she will hit the window with her head.

Mr Fluff

                                             
My puppet's name is Mr fluff and he is 20 years old.  He has eyes as yellow as a banana skin.  His skin has so many colours.   He has got a dark blue mouth and a red tongue.  Mr fluff's nose is as blue as blueberries.  Mr fluff dose not have hair but he has fluff behind his eyes.

Mr Fluff's personality is funny, creative and hard working.

Mr fluff has a brother called Mischief and a cat called Blinkey.  Mr Fluff dose not have a mum or a dad.  Mr fluff only has a Grandma and a brother that live in Lolia.

Mr Fluff likes to: eat lollies, he loves maths, rides bikes and scooters, and going for walks.

Our Amazing Playground: An Adventure theme

Our playground had an adventure theme.  In it we have a pool, flying fox, panda, dragon, igloo, seal maze, climbing wall, turtle and dolphin swings, snake water fountain and toilets. The seal maze you can go through the maze or climb on the seal. The swings are called turtle and dolphin swings because there is a dolphin and a turtle. There is an igloo that has snow falling from the top, but it is actually white foam falling from the top of the igloo. There is a panda sculpture that you have to go through the mouth and look out its eyes.

Camp

The Variety Bash at Freeville School

On our court we had a Variety Bash and the whole school was there.  They were raising money for kids all over New Zealand.  It was their first time at Freeville School.  They gave us lots of gifts.  They were raised thirteen million dollars so far.  It was lots of fun!  We got stickers, lollies, bracelets, popcorn and corn tubes.

Ryan's camp trip

On New Year’s Eve my Mum and Grandma were at my house packing stuff into the cars.  There was quite a bit of stuff to fit in the car.  It took half an hour to pack the car.  We left the house, but Dad was still in bed and he had work the next day.  On the way to Cheviot we saw some awesome sights.  It took 1 hour and 30 min to get there.  There were ten people at the camp site.  The camp site was on a farm and there was a dog called Sky.  She was nice to play fetch with and Sky had a playful personality. The next day I went on the quad bike.  It was awesome to drive it by myself.

Then we made a sled.  My three friends, and adult and I helped to make it.  Then we went to test it.  It was funny on the first attempt.  The sled broke and then we tried again.  That also broke, but the third time it didn't break.  Then we took the sled out in front of the cabins, on the closes side to the road.  I had to jump because the diver of the quad bike did a drift and the person fell off.

Then I had a turn and I did 3 laps.  My Mum and Grandma were down the other end of the camp site.  The halfway mark of the campsite was 50 meters the entire place was 100 meters long, so I brought my bike the next day.  One of my friends took me on the back of a motorbike.  I went around the track five times and that was awesome. Then the next day we l went home from Cheviot.

Head Lice Documentary

We decided to make a documentary about head lice.  Then we made puppets for the movie.  It took one week to make the movie.  My favourite part was when we where filming the movie and making the fuppets.

Fuppet: Mischief

My fuppet's name is Mischief.  Mischief is 8 years old.  The shape of his head is a rectangle.  Mischief's tongue is as orange as a clean road cone.  His mouth is read like a vest that was polished.  Mischief hair is as dark as the midnight sky.  His skin is as smooth as cats fur.

Mischief has a hard working personality because he does five hours a day of maths, writing and reading.  He also has a friendly personality because he has over fifty friends in his life.

Mischief lives in Eastern Fuppet World, 25A Tree Street.  He has a cat called Blinkey.  Mischief likes to play cricket and basketball.  His hobby is sport.

Venetian Mask: Ryan R

These are some of our mask in the making. It was fun and some of them where complicated. It took three to four weeks to make. These are Venetian Masks that we are making.

These are them at stage two which is when we where putting the pattens on underneath the mask. My favourite part was when we were painting the mask and putting the feathers and edging on. I painted my mask dark blue and put light blue feathers on it.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter open day...

In the holidays I went to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter open day. It was near the airport and there where four helicopters.  The was one was Westpac rescue helicopter.  The other three helicopter where giving rides. I went flying in the helicopter and I had a great time.  I managed to spot the the cathedral square, The Warehouse and AMI stadium because we flew over the city.

The Westpac rescue helicopter didn't have its winch on.  The winch is used to lower the people down if it can't land.  The Bomb Disposal Team were there with their robot that dislocates bombs.  They wear a protection suit with big metal shields.  They said they'd being blown up quite a few times!  They tried to stop the Pike Rive mine from blowing up.

The airport fire team where at the open day as well. Their fire engines have wheels as big as the back wheels on a tractor.  They are quite tall, so they can reach the plane to put out the fire.  They are stored in the repair shed. The normal fire team where there as well.  

It was freaky when I walked next to the fire engine with the ladder up.  It looked like the ladder was moving. They also had a fire truck with a satellite on the top.

Invertebrates and Spiders...

On Friday we went to the Groynes and we saw some webs from the Nursery Spider.  What do you think is in the web?

                       

We also found some invertebrates and insects like the water boatman and the back swimmer. We also found out what a baby mosquito looks like as a lavae.

My trip to Mount Cook

In the holidays I went on a plane to Mount Cook. When the plane was on the ground we were 31m above the tarmac.  The plane was the biggest one in New Zealand.  They are going to make a 31 foot longer All Black plane.  


We enterd the press competition to fly near Mount Cook and back to Christchurch.  The seats had a TV on the back of the seats and it told you where you where. It is the biggest plane in New Zealand.  This was my first time on a plane and it was exciting.
