Making The Very Cultured Caterpillar
Some things we liked about making The Very Cultured Caterpillar was creating the characters (puppets) and helping out with lots of other stuff like drawing, puppeteering and making the flowers. We made backdrops for the movie and Thomas did the voice for Jack the waiter. It was so funny when I did The NOOOOOOOOO! in slow motion, in the movie. It was funny.
Making the Fuppets
The fuppet movie was really fun because we got to make our own fuppet. When I made my fuppet T.J they way he looked made me come up with a voice for him and what his sense of humour would be like. I had to puppeteer quite a lot and not just my own puppet because there were some people that thought they couldn’t do it. Thomas
It was really fun puppeteering because we got to use our fuppets. I got to ask a question and helped to colour the outside of the school backdrop. Jacob
Fuppet: TJ
My fuppet's name is TJ (aka Thomas-Junior). He has blue eyes like the sea. Grey hair like silver or iron. My fuppet has pink eyelids just like a pig. He has a purple tongue for licking lolly pops. TJ has orange, white and pink skin. The shape of TJ's face is like an oval on the side.
My fuppet is very kind, caring and nice. He has a lot of friends. TJ is 12 years old and he loves his family and friends. His best friends are Jack, Rudolph, Sparko, Black Jellybean, Wacko, Joshua, Squiggle, Sam, Zachery and don't forget Chris and Crazy.
His favourite hobbies are playing with his friends, Lego, watching TV, playing video games and going to the park. Some stuff TJ doesn't like is going to school and doing chores around the house. He hates eating vegetables. TJ lives at home with my family and I.

Venetian Mask: Thomas
The bit I liked the best was painting the mask and cutting the shapes in the mask. I liked decorating my mask and putting edging on. We had to put paper on our masks to add texture to the mask, so when we painted it, it looked old and rare. Making the mask was really, really fun!

We went to the Groynes and it was super fun! Our favourite things were dressing up like garbage and catching the bugs.
Our favourite bug’s were the water boatmen and midge larvae. The water boatman has six legs and hides two of them underneath its front. The midge larvae is just like a little, little red worm.
To men called Ben and Bill showed us how the Groynes got its name. It's called the Groynes because there are BIG, BIG rocks shaped like cylinders, called Groynes, that’s where it gets it’s name.
Zometool Fun!
On Tuesday we played with Zometool for maths. We made a hotel, it was the biggest in the class and everybody was crowding around us and wanting to help. ZOMETOOL IS THE BEST TOY EVER!
Movie Making: Children making Safer Journeys
Hi guys, it's Thomas here. This is how we made our Road Safety movie. It's on YouTube. OK! Lets get started....first we had to make and draw people for the movie, it was cool. I did the Safety Nina and a skateboarder. I helped to make the background too. I had so much fun. Then we had to video it. Then the class had to be quiet when we recorded our voice. That's it! Making our wonderful Egyptian Cats
We made mummified cats and it was hard. First we had to make the body out of newspaper - it took two people to do it. Samara helped me with the body. When we finished step one it was time for step two. This is the step I liked. Se had to wrap cats in plaster of paris. It was so fun and gloppy. When we finished step two, now it was time to go to step three. We had to glue bandages onto our cats. Now it was time for step four. We had to put clay on the cat's head. Step five we painted the head. Cool, now it was time for step six. This was the last step, we had to put a gem on top of the cat's head.
Thomas' Dance Moves
On Thursday we did some awesome dance moves with Hannah and Trudi. They came from Auckland. We played this game called 'What are you doing?' Everyone was in a circle and then on person was in the middle acting something out. Then another person would say 'What are you doing?' Then the person would say something like 'riding my bike.' The person who asked that question would have to go into the middle and ride their bike.
We played a walking around statue kind of game. It got trickier and trickier. When Trudi said 'go,' we had to freeze and when she said 'freeze,' we had to go! We had lots of fun!

Digital Pet Day: Jenny the Cat
My cat is called Jenny. She has green eyes. Her personality is nice. Jenny likes to pull the tea towels off the oven handle.
Once when I was in the toilet Jenny jumped up onto the table and ate my chicken soup! Jenny is 13 years old. She is fluffy and nice. She sleeps under the BBQ in some blankets and a cat basket.

The Earthquake
In the earthquake everything fell down and a computer fell on Nicky. On Sunday my cat, Forest, died. We buried him and it was sad. Before my cat died we went to Akaroa. Mum and Dad were thinking of going to Nana and Grandad's because they had power and water. Samuel and I said 'Yes, yes yes! We want to go!' Then Mum and Dad changed their minds. Samuel and I said 'Oh!'
When we got to Akaroa we unpacked our bags. Then Mums said 'Let's go to the beach.' When we go to the beach Samuel and I wanted to go for a swim. Then Mum said 'We forgot to take your togs to the beach.' We took off our clothes, except our underwear and jumped in.
When we got home we got dressed into our good clothes. We went to a restaurant. Sam had some fish finger and salad. I had a big burger and some fries. For pudding we had a Sundae each with lollies on the top.

Megamog: Super Cat
Super Cat is as strong as a dinosaur. He is skinny, but he is strong. Super Cat has orange and blue fur. He likes to put bad men in jail and save people. Super Cat's favourite food is roast beef and fish 'n chips. He wears leather black books and they look like gumboots.
