Today Linsey Pollak came to our school. Linsey performed for us. He is really good. Linsey made a carrot flute. He made a flute out of garden hose with a glove on the end. Thomas was up the front doing a few things like making different noises. Linsey asked some people to come up and play some of the instruments that were on the table. Linsey is excellent at playing different thing,s like the carrot. The carrot is the best thing that was there. Our favourite instrument was the carrot flute. It was a great show.

In the Snow...

On Tuesday my Dad though he might have a go at making an igloo. I thought it would be to small, but it was just right. My friend Abby came over and she helped make it. It took at least ten minutes to make it. It was a bit cold inside the igloo. My Dad also had a go at making a whale, but he did not take any photos of it. My Dad made a snow lady, but the wind blew it over. At least he got some photos of it. The whale is a bit out of shape now and the igloo is still how it was when my Dad made it. The snow lady was tall and thin.

Movie Making: Children making Safer Journeys

These are our people that we made for the safer journeys movie. The girl with the glasses is one of the school kids. The girls with the glasses is the one that I made for the movie. I was one of the ones that did the filming. It was fun.

Egyptian Cats

Room 8 had been making mummified cats. First we rolled up newspaper. We had to scrunch up newspaper. After that we put plaster of paris bandages over it. Then we put fabric over the plaster of paris.

Next we dried the fabric. We made a clay mask and we had to mould it. Then we did dry brushing. It was fun because we had never done anything like it before.

My Treasures: Mum, Pets & Medals

My medals: My medals are the first medals I've had. The New Brighton Athletic club gave me a medal and Aquagym. I hook my medals up on my draws or keep them in my draws.

My Pets and Mum: My mother is always looking like she walked out of a salon and she is beautiful. Indi our dog, she is the oldest dog I have ever had. I feed my dog and take her for lots of walks.She is special to our family. Lolly our kitten, she is the first kitten I've ever had.

My Birthday

In the holidays it was my birthday. My mum made a cake with my sister. It was a banana cake. We all went ice skating after we had food. Jemma, Kimya and I won a ticket for best dancing. Olivia, Jemma and Kimya won a ticket for the light shinning on them. It was fun. After the party my mum and I had to drop off Kimya and Pearl at their houses.

Digital Pet Day: Indi and Lollie

I have two pets, a cat and a dog. My kitten's name is Lollie and she is 2 months old. My dog's name is Indi and she is 13 years old.

Indi is big and fluffy. Lollie bites and scratches. She is very small. Indi only bites when she gets annoyed. My dog is an Alaskan Malamute. My cat is all different colours. She is black, with white and a caramel colour. When I pick her up, to give her a cuddle, she bites me! It doesn't hurt.

My dog needs dog food and my cat needs cat food. My cat likes to play with toy mice. Indi likes to sit in the sun. When we take Indi for a walk we sometimes let her off her lead.

Going to Rolleston

In the earthquake holiday we went to Rolleston for lunch. I had lollie cake and a sandwich with three bits of bread. It also had cheese, ham and pineapple. On the way back home my sister fell asleep.

We got liquefaction in the toilet and shower. We also got liquefaction around the back. It was about 60 cm deep.

My megamog's name is Furry Fred. Furry Fred likes to eat rainbow fish. Furry Fred likes to play all kinds of games, like Monopoly and card games. He treats other megamogs great and he plays with them. Furry Fred talks slowly. He is furry and pretty.
